Lighting the way to brighter futures

Canlight began when local volunteers and educators in Juja recognized children and families caught between crisis and hope. From those first meals and school supplies, we developed programs that pair immediate relief—nutritious meals, emergency shelter, and enrollment support—with longer-term investments: mentorship, computer and vocational training, and family stabilization. Each program is designed to meet urgent needs while building skills and confidence that last.

Today our work is rooted in partnership with community leaders, local schools, and caregivers. We prioritize dignity, listening, and measurable outcomes: every child supported receives tailored education assistance and consistent follow-up so that re-enrollment becomes persistence, and a single warm meal becomes improved attendance, health, and hope for the future.
